The Crosstab model provided an updated prediction of the election outcome. It currently predicts a two-party vote share of 45.8% for Clinton, and 54.2% for Trump in Texas. In comparison, on October 31 Trump was still predicted to obtain 54.3% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
In general, however, you should not have too much faith in the results of single models, as they often incorporate large errors. Rather, one should check how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
The Crosstab model compared with PollyVote's forecast
The most recent PollyVote predicts Trump to gain 54.1% of the two-party vote in Texas. PollyVote currently predicts Trump to gain 0.1 percentage points less compared to the results of the Crosstab model.
