Tennessee: Crosstab model shows Trump in the lead
The Crosstab model is part of the econometric models component of the combined PollyVote. The model currently predicts a major vote share of 41.5% for Clinton, and 58.6% for Trump in Tennessee. In comparison, on October 31, Clinton was predicted to achieve only 41.1% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
As a general rule, however, don't have too much faith in the results of single models, because they often contain large errors. At the very least, one should examine how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote forecast
The most recent PollyVote expects Trump to gain 58.7% of the two-party vote in Tennessee. PollyVote currently predicts Trump to gain 0.1 percentage points more compared to the results of the Crosstab model.
