The Crosstab model published an updated forecast of the election result. According to the model, Clinton will receive 41.1% of the two-party vote share in Tennessee, whereas Trump will end up with 58.9%. In comparison, on October 30 Trump was predicted to garner 58.8% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
As any other method, models are subject to bias. Thus, as a general rule, don't have too much confidence in the results of a single econometric model. Instead of relying on results from single models, one should rely on combined models or, even better, a combined forecast that uses forecasts from different methods, each of which draws upon different data. The current PollyVote anticipates Trump to gain 58.9% of the two-party vote in Tennessee.
