The Crosstab model provided an updated forecast of the election outcome. It currently predicts a major vote share of 37.1% for Clinton, and 62.9% for Trump in North Dakota. In comparison, on October 30, Clinton was predicted to collect 37.2% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
Single models may incorporate substantial errors, which is why they should be treated with caution. At the very least, one should check how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote prediction
The latest PollyVote predicts Trump to gain 59.6% of the two-party vote in North Dakota. PollyVote currently predicts Trump to gain 3.3 percentage points less compared to the results of the Crosstab model.
