The Crosstab model is part of the econometric models component of the combined PollyVote forecast. The model currently predicts a major vote share of 64.1% for Clinton, and 35.9% for Trump in New York. In comparison, on October 31 Trump was still predicted to collect 36.4% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
Single models should be interpreted with caution, because they may contain large errors. At least, one should examine how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote forecast
The current PollyVote forecasts Clinton to gain 63.2% of the two-party vote in New York. The results of the Crosstab model for Clinton are thus 0.9 percentage points above the combined PollyVote in New York.
