Crosstab model in Minnesota: Clinton is in the lead
The Crosstab model enters the econometric models component of the combined PollyVote. According to the model, Clinton will receive 54.9% of the two-party vote share in Minnesota, while Trump will win 45.1%.
Putting the results in context
As any other method, models are subject to bias. As a result, a good strategy is to not put too much trust in the results of a single econometric model. At the very least, one should examine how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
The Crosstab model compared with PollyVote's prediction
The latest PollyVote anticipates Clinton to gain 55.4% of the two-party vote in Minnesota. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 0.5 percentage points more compared to the results of the Crosstab model.
