Vermont: Crosstab model shows Clinton in the lead
The Crosstab model is included in the econometric models component of the combined PollyVote forecast. It currently forecasts a two-party vote share of 70.6% for Clinton, and 29.4% for Trump in Vermont. In comparison, on October 28, Clinton was predicted to achieve 70.8% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
Single models should be interpreted with caution, since they can include large errors. At least, one should examine how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
The Crosstab model in comparison with PollyVote's forecast
The current PollyVote predicts Clinton to gain 67.5% of the two-party vote in Vermont. The results of the Crosstab model for Clinton are thus 3.1 percentage points above the combined PollyVote in Vermont.
