The Crosstab model is part of the econometric models component of the combined PollyVote forecast. The model currently predicts a major vote share of 53.0% for Clinton, and 47.0% for Trump in Wisconsin. In comparison, on October 27, Clinton was predicted to achieve 53.3% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
As any other method, models are subject to bias. As a result, don't have too much faith in the results of an individual econometric model. Instead of relying on results from single models, the best practice is to use combined models or, even better, the combined PollyVote forecast that draws upon forecasts from different methods, each of which draws upon different data.
Comparison to the combined PollyVote
The latest PollyVote anticipates Clinton to gain 53.8% of the two-party vote in Wisconsin. The results of the Crosstab model for Clinton are thus 0.8 percentage points below the combined PollyVote in Wisconsin.
