The Crosstab model enters the econometric models component of the combined PollyVote forecast. The model currently predicts a two-party vote share of 68.4% for Clinton, and 31.6% for Trump in Maryland. In comparison, on October 28 Trump was predicted to win 31.5% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
Single models can include substantial biases, and should be treated with caution. At least, one should examine how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
The Crosstab model compared with PollyVote's prediction
The current PollyVote anticipates Clinton to gain 66.0% of the two-party vote in Maryland. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 2.4 percentage points less compared to the results of the Crosstab model.
