The Crosstab model released an updated prediction of the election outcome. It currently forecasts a two-party vote share of 59.9% for Clinton, and 40.1% for Trump in Illinois.
Putting the results in context
Individual models often contain substantial biases, and should be treated with caution. Instead of trusting the results from single models, the recommended strategy look at combined models or, even better, a combined forecast that relies on forecasts from different methods, each of which draws upon different data.
Comparison to the combined PollyVote
The latest PollyVote foresees Clinton to gain 59.3% of the two-party vote in Illinois. The results of the Crosstab model for Clinton are thus 0.6 percentage points above the combined PollyVote in Illinois.
