The Crosstab model is part of the econometric models component of the combined PollyVote forecast. The model currently predicts a major vote share of 37.7% for Clinton, and 62.3% for Trump in Utah. In comparison, on October 26, Clinton was predicted to collect only 36.9% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
As any other method, models are subject to bias. In general, don't have too much faith in the results of an individual econometric model. Rather, one should examine how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
Comparison to the combined PollyVote
The most recent PollyVote anticipates Trump to gain 58.5% of the two-party vote in Utah. The results of the Crosstab model for Trump are thus 3.8 percentage points above the combined PollyVote in Utah.
