The Crosstab model released an updated forecast of the election result. The model currently predicts a major vote share of 53.4% for Clinton, and 46.6% for Trump in Pennsylvania. In comparison, on October 26 Trump was still predicted to gain 46.8% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
Single models should be regarded with caution, because they can include large biases. Rather than trusting the results from single models, one should consult combined models or, even better, a combined forecast that incorporates different methods and data.
Comparison to the combined PollyVote
The latest PollyVote predicts Clinton to gain 54.2% of the two-party vote in Pennsylvania. The results of the Crosstab model for Clinton are thus 0.8 percentage points below the combined PollyVote in Pennsylvania.
