The Crosstab model published an updated forecast of the election result. According to the model, Clinton will collect 40.6% of the two-party vote share in Montana, while Trump will end up with 59.5%. In comparison, on October 26 Trump was predicted to garner 57.7% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
As any other method, models are subject to bias. Hence, one should not be too confident the results of a single econometric model. At least, one should check how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
The Crosstab model compared with PollyVote's prediction
The most recent PollyVote forecasts Trump to gain 57.0% of the two-party vote in Montana. PollyVote currently predicts Trump to gain 2.5 percentage points less compared to the results of the Crosstab model.
