The Crosstab model released an updated prediction of the election outcome. It currently forecasts a two-party vote share of 46.5% for Clinton, and 53.5% for Trump in Texas. In comparison, on October 25 Trump was predicted to gain 53.3% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
In general, however, don't have too much faith in the results of single models, because they often contain large errors. Rather than trusting the results from single models, one should look at combined models or, even better, the combined PollyVote forecast that uses different methods and data.
The Crosstab model in comparison with PollyVote's prediction
The current PollyVote anticipates Trump to gain 53.9% of the two-party vote in Texas. PollyVote currently predicts Trump to gain 0.4 percentage points more compared to the results of the Crosstab model.
