The Crosstab model provided an updated prediction of the election result. It currently forecasts a two-party vote share of 57.8% for Clinton, and 42.2% for Trump in New Jersey. In comparison, on October 25 Trump was predicted to win 41.7% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
Single models should be regarded with caution, because they can include substantial biases. At the very least, one should check how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote forecast
The latest PollyVote expects Clinton to gain 59.1% of the two-party vote in New Jersey. The results of the Crosstab model for Clinton are thus 1.3 percentage points below the combined PollyVote in New Jersey.
