The Crosstab model is included in the econometric models component of the combined PollyVote. According to the model, Clinton will achieve 38.7% of the two-party vote share in Alabama, while Trump will end up with 61.3%.
Putting the results in context
In general, however, one should not have too much faith in the results of single models, as they often contain large errors. Instead of trusting the results from single models, the best practice scientific advice is to rely on combined models or, even better, a combined forecast that incorporates forecasts from different methods, each of which incorporates different data.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote forecast
The latest PollyVote expects Trump to gain 60.0% of the two-party vote in Alabama. PollyVote currently predicts Trump to gain 1.3 percentage points less compared to the results of the Crosstab model.
