Rhode Island: Jerome model shows Clinton in the lead
The Jerome model released an updated forecast of the election result. The model currently forecasts a major vote share of 61.7% for Clinton, and 38.3% for Trump in Rhode Island.
Putting the results in context
Single models should be regarded with caution, as they often include large errors. Instead of relying on results from single models, forecasting research recommends to rely on combined models or, even better, the combined PollyVote forecast that uses forecasts from different methods, each of which draws upon different data.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote prediction
The most recent PollyVote anticipates Clinton to gain 61.0% of the two-party vote in Rhode Island. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 0.7 percentage points less compared to the results of the Jerome model.
