The DeSart & Holbrook model released an updated prediction of the election result. The model currently predicts a major vote share of 39.1% for Clinton, and 60.9% for Trump in North Dakota. In comparison, on October 20, Clinton was predicted to gain 39.3% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
As any other method, models are subject to bias. In general, don't have too much faith in the results of a single econometric model. At the very least, one should check how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote prediction
The most recent PollyVote expects Trump to gain 59.3% of the two-party vote in North Dakota. The results of the DeSart & Holbrook model for Trump are thus 1.6 percentage points above the combined PollyVote in North Dakota.
