The DeSart & Holbrook model is included in the econometric models component of the combined PollyVote. It currently predicts a major vote share of 60.1% for Clinton, and 40.0% for Trump in New Jersey. In comparison, on October 20 Trump was still predicted to garner 40.6% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
Individual models often incorporate large biases, which is why they should be treated with caution. At least, one should check how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
The DeSart & Holbrook model in comparison with PollyVote's forecast
The current PollyVote anticipates Clinton to gain 59.1% of the two-party vote in New Jersey. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 1.0 percentage points less compared to the results of the DeSart & Holbrook model.
