The DeSart & Holbrook model released an updated forecast of the election result. According to the model, Clinton will receive 45.2% of the two-party vote share in Texas, whereas Trump will win 54.8%. In comparison, on October 19 Trump was still predicted to obtain 55.9% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
Individual models often contain large errors, and should be interpreted with caution. At least, one should check how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts. The current PollyVote forecasts Trump to gain 54.8% of the two-party vote in Texas.
