Putting the results in context
As any other method, models are subject to bias. Hence, a good strategy is to not focus too much on the results of a single econometric model. Instead of relying on results from single models, the best practice scientific advice is to look at combined models or, even better, a combined forecast that includes different methods and data.

The most recent PollyVote expects Trump to gain 58.9% of the two-party vote in South Dakota. PollyVote currently predicts Trump to gain 1.5 percentage points more compared to the results of the DeSart & Holbrook model.
