North Dakota: DeSart & Holbrook model shows Trump in the lead
The DeSart & Holbrook model is included in the econometric models component of the PollyVote forecast. It currently predicts a two-party vote share of 39.3% for Clinton, and 60.7% for Trump in North Dakota.
Putting the results in context
As a general rule, however, one should not have too much faith in the results of single models, as they can incorporate large errors. Rather than relying on results from single models, you should rely on combined models or, even better, a combined forecast that incorporates forecasts from different methods, each of which draws upon different data.
Comparison to the combined PollyVote
The current PollyVote predicts Trump to gain 60.2% of the two-party vote in North Dakota. PollyVote currently predicts Trump to gain 0.5 percentage points less compared to the results of the DeSart & Holbrook model.
