The DeSart & Holbrook model provided an updated forecast of the election outcome. According to the model, Clinton will achieve 57.2% of the two-party vote share in Maine, while Trump will win 42.8%.
Putting the results in context
In general, however, don't have too much faith in the results of single models, because they sometimes incorporate large errors. Instead of relying on results from single models, you should rely on combined models or, even better, the combined PollyVote forecast that includes different methods and data.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote prediction
The current PollyVote foresees Clinton to gain 54.8% of the two-party vote in Maine. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 2.4 percentage points less compared to the results of the DeSart & Holbrook model.
