The DeSart & Holbrook model provided an updated prediction of the election outcome. According to the model, Clinton will collect 40.0% of the two-party vote share in Arkansas, while Trump will win 60.0%.
Putting the results in context
As a general rule, however, don't have too much faith in the results of single models, since they can incorporate large errors. Rather, one should check how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
Comparison to the combined PollyVote
The current PollyVote foresees Trump to gain 57.9% of the two-party vote in Arkansas. PollyVote currently predicts Trump to gain 2.1 percentage points less compared to the results of the DeSart & Holbrook model.
