Colorado: DeSart & Holbrook model shows Clinton in the lead
The DeSart & Holbrook model provided an updated prediction of the election outcome. It currently predicts a major vote share of 53.2% for Clinton, and 46.8% for Trump in Colorado. In comparison, on October 14 Trump was still predicted to collect 47.1% of the vote.
Colorado is traditionally a swing state, where the candidates of both major parties have historically won similar voter support. Hence, the election outcome here is considered critical in determining which party will win the majority of electoral votes.
Putting the results in context
Individual models may contain substantial biases, and should be treated with caution. At the very least, one should check how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts. The current PollyVote expects Clinton to gain 53.2% of the two-party vote in Colorado.
