The DeSart & Holbrook model published an updated forecast of the election outcome. According to the model, Clinton will receive 34.2% of the two-party vote share in Oklahoma, whereas Trump will win 65.8%.
Putting the results in context
As a general rule, however, don't have too much faith in the results of single models, because they can incorporate large errors. Rather, one should check how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote forecast
The most recent PollyVote predicts Trump to gain 63.9% of the two-party vote in Oklahoma. The results of the DeSart & Holbrook model for Trump are thus 1.9 percentage points above the combined PollyVote in Oklahoma.
