Hawaii: DeSart model shows Clinton in the lead
The DeSart model released an updated forecast of the election result. According to the model, Clinton will collect 70.1% of the two-party vote share in Hawaii, while Trump will win 29.9%.
Putting the results in context
Single models should be treated with caution, since they may incorporate large biases. Rather than trusting the results from single models, forecasting research recommends to use combined models or, even better, the combined PollyVote forecast that includes different methods and data.
Comparison to the combined PollyVote
The current PollyVote foresees Clinton to gain 69.1% of the two-party vote in Hawaii. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 1.0 percentage points less compared to the results of the DeSart model.
