The DeSart & Holbrook model released an updated prediction of the election result. The model currently predicts a two-party vote share of 42.2% for Clinton, and 57.8% for Trump in Tennessee.
Putting the results in context
As any other method, models are subject to bias. As a result, you should not be overly confident the results of a single econometric model. Instead of trusting the results from single models, the best practice scientific advice is to look at combined models or, even better, a combined forecast that incorporates different methods and data.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote prediction
The latest PollyVote expects Trump to gain 59.2% of the two-party vote in Tennessee. PollyVote currently predicts Trump to gain 1.4 percentage points more compared to the results of the DeSart & Holbrook model.
