Jerome model in New Jersey: Clinton is in the lead
The Jerome model is included in the econometric models component of the PollyVote forecast. It currently forecasts a major vote share of 57.7% for Clinton, and 42.3% for Trump in New Jersey. In comparison, on August 16 Trump was still predicted to obtain 0.0% of the vote.
Putting the results in context
Individual models may include large biases, and should be treated with caution. Rather than trusting the results from single models, the recommended strategy look at combined models or, even better, a combined forecast that uses different methods and data.
The Jerome model compared with PollyVote's prediction
The current PollyVote foresees Clinton to gain 57.9% of the two-party vote in New Jersey. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 0.2 percentage points more compared to the results of the Jerome model.
