Illinois: DeSart & Holbrook model shows Clinton in the lead
The DeSart & Holbrook model published an updated forecast of the election result. It currently predicts a major vote share of 53.5% for Clinton, and 46.5% for Trump in Illinois.
Putting the results in context
Individual models should be regarded with caution, as they may incorporate large biases. At least, one should examine how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
Comparison to the combined PollyVote
The latest PollyVote predicts Clinton to gain 55.9% of the two-party vote in Illinois. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 2.4 percentage points more compared to the results of the DeSart & Holbrook model.
