Hawaii: DeSart model shows Clinton in the lead
The DeSart model provided an updated prediction of the election result. According to the model, Clinton will obtain 70.1% of the two-party vote share in Hawaii, while Trump will win 29.9%.
Putting the results in context
As a general rule, however, a good strategy is to not have too much faith in the results of single models, because they often incorporate large errors. At least, one should examine how a model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
Comparison to the combined PollyVote
The latest PollyVote foresees Clinton to gain 69.2% of the two-party vote in Hawaii. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 0.9 percentage points less compared to the results of the DeSart model.
