The DeSart model provided an updated prediction of the election result. According to the model, Clinton will obtain 25.5% of the two-party vote share in Wyoming, whereas Trump will win 74.5%.
Putting the results in context
As a general rule, however, one should not have too much faith in the results of single models, as they sometimes contain large errors. Instead of trusting the results from single models, we recommend to rely on combined models or, even better, the combined PollyVote forecast that relies on different methods and data.
The DeSart model compared with PollyVote's prediction
The most recent PollyVote forecasts Trump to gain 68.6% of the two-party vote in Wyoming. PollyVote currently predicts Trump to gain 5.9 percentage points less compared to the results of the DeSart model.
