Kansas: New KSN News/SurveyUSA poll has Clinton behind by 5 points
KSN News/SurveyUSA released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Kansas were asked for whom they will vote: Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.

According to the results, 39.0% of participants plan to vote for former New York Senator Hillary Clinton, while 44.0% are going to vote for businessman Donald Trump.
This poll was conducted from August 3 to August 7, among a random sample of 566 likely voters.
Putting the results in context
In general, however, you should not have too much faith in the results of single polls, as they can incorporate large errors. Rather, one should examine how a poll's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
For the following comparison, we translate Trump's and Clinton's raw poll numbers into shares of the two-party vote. This yields figures of 47.0% for Clinton and 53.0% for Trump. On September 10 Clinton received only 43.4% in the KSN News/SurveyUSA poll and Trump received 56.6%.
