Wyoming: DeSart model shows Trump in the lead
The DeSart model released an updated prediction of the election result. The model currently predicts a major vote share of 25.5% for Clinton, and 74.5% for Trump in Wyoming.
Putting the results in context
Individual models should be treated with caution, since they often include substantial biases. Instead of trusting the results from single models, the evidence-based approach is to look at combined models or, even better, the combined PollyVote forecast that draws upon forecasts from different methods, each of which draws upon different data.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote forecast
The current PollyVote anticipates Trump to gain 65.4% of the two-party vote in Wyoming. The results of the DeSart model for Trump are thus 9.1 percentage points above the combined PollyVote in Wyoming.
