The PollyVote team asked political scientists about their predictions for the election outcome at the national level.
The expert survey was in the field between August 29 and August 31. The sample size was 13 academics from several colleges and universities. The experts’ average forecast is that Clinton will garner 53.5% of the national major-party vote.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote prediction
The most recent PollyVote foresees Clinton to gain 52.6% of the two-party vote. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 0.9 percentage points less compared to the expert survey result.
