Clinton and Trump virtually tied in latest Keys to the White House index model
The Keys to the White House model is included in the index models component of the PollyVote forecast. It currently predicts a two-party vote share of 51.5% for Clinton, and 48.5% for Trump.
Putting the results in context
Individual index models should be interpreted with caution, as they may contain large biases. At the very least, one should check how a index model's results compare to benchmark forecasts.
Results in comparison to other index models
If we look at an average of index models, Clinton's current two-party vote share is at 54.1%. Compared to numbers in the Keys to the White House index model Clinton's index model average is 2.6 percentage points higher.
The Keys to the White House model in comparison with PollyVote's prediction
The most recent PollyVote foresees Clinton to gain 53.7% of the two-party vote. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 2.2 percentage points more compared to the results of the Keys to the White House model.
