Bio-index model shows Clinton in the lead
The Bio-index model enters the index models component of the combined PollyVote forecast. It currently predicts a major vote share of 58.8% for Clinton, and 41.2% for Trump.
Putting the results in context
In general, however, one should not have too much faith in the results of single index models, since they may contain large errors. Rather than trusting the results from single index models, you should consult combined index models or, even better, the combined PollyVote forecast that includes forecasts from different methods, each of which draws upon different data.
Comparison to other index models
An average of recent index models has Clinton at 53.9% of the two-party vote. This value is 4.9 percentage points lower than respective numbers in the Bio-index index model.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote prediction
The latest PollyVote forecasts Clinton to gain 53.5% of the two-party vote. PollyVote currently predicts Clinton to gain 5.3 percentage points less compared to the results of the Bio-index model.
