Rothschild model: Clinton tied with Trump in South Carolina
The Rothschild model is part of the econometric models component of the PollyVote. The model currently predicts a tie, with each candidate receiving 50% of the two-party vote.
Putting the results in context
As any other method, econometric models are subject to bias. Therefore, as a general rule, don't be overly confident the results of a single econometric model. Instead of relying on results from single econometric models, we recommend to use combined econometric models or, even better, the combined PollyVote forecast that incorporates forecasts from different methods, each of which draws upon different data.
Comparison to other econometric models
When compared to the average results of other econometric models Clinton performed worse with 0.0 percentage points, while Trump did better with 0.0 percentage points.
