DeSart model: Clinton with very clear lead in Rhode Island
The DeSart model published an updated prediction of the election result. According to this model, Clinton will garner 62.1% of the two-party vote share in Rhode Island, while Trump will win 37.9%.
Putting the results in context
Individual econometric models may contain large biases, which is why they should be treated with caution. Rather than relying on results from single econometric models, we recommend to consult combined econometric models or, even better, a combined forecast that includes different methods and data.
Results compared to the combined PollyVote prediction
The results of the DeSart model for Clinton are thus 0.9 percentage points below the combined PollyVote, which at the moment predicts a value of 63.0% in Rhode Island.
