Georgia: New WSB-TV/LandmarkWSB-TV poll has Democrats behind
, WSB-TV/LandmarkWSB-TV released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Georgia were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
The results reveal that 41.0% of respondents will vote for the Democratic party, whereas 42.0% said they would vote for Republican party. The poll was carried out from May 5 to May 5 with 570 likely voters. Results have a +/-4.1 percentage points sampling error.
According to other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 49.4% for the Democrat Hillary Clinton and 50.6% for the Republican Donald Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Georgia the Republicans did better in this poll.
According to PollyVote's prediction
The poll numbers for the Republicans are thus 3.6 percentage points below the combined PollyVote, which as of now expects a value of 54.2% in Georgia. According to the poll the vote share for the Republicans is 11.2 percentage points smaller when compared to the results of PollyVote's prognoses on a national level.
