Results of a new national poll carried out by Rasmussen were published on April 29. The poll asked respondents for whom they would likely vote if the Democrats nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republican Party nominated Donald Trump.
According to the results, 38.0% of respondents plan to vote for the Democrats, while 38.0% plan to vote for the Republicans. The poll was conducted from April 25 to April 26 with 1000 respondents. Figures have a +/-3.0 percentage points margin of error. Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 50.0% for the Democrat Hillary Clinton and 50.0% for the Republican Donald Trump.
