Virginia: Democrats with clear advantage in new PPP (D)PPP (D) poll
On April 3, PPP (D)PPP (D) released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Virginia were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
The results show that 49.0% of respondents intend to vote for the Democratic party, while 39.0% said they would vote for GOP. The poll was conducted from July 13 to July 15 with 1170 registered voters. The sampling error is +/-2.9 percentage points.
According to other surveys
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 55.7% for the Democrat Hillary Clinton and 44.3% for the Republican Donald Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Virginia the Democrats did better in this poll.
