QuinnipiacQuinnipiac poll in Ohio: Republicans are ahead
Results of a new poll conducted by QuinnipiacQuinnipiac were distributed on April 2. The poll asked participants from Ohio for whom they would likely vote if the Democrats nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republican Party nominated Donald Trump.
According to the results, 42.0% of interviewees are going to vote for the Democrat Hillary Clinton, while 44.0% are going to vote for the Republican Donald Trump. This poll was conducted from February 16 to February 20, among a random sample of 1539 registered voters. The error margin is +/-2.5 percentage points.
Other survey prognoses
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 48.8% for the Democrat Clinton and 51.2% for the Republican Trump. The Democrats did better by 3.4 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Ohio.
