QuinnipiacQuinnipiac poll in Ohio: Democrats trail by a small margin
Results of a new poll conducted by QuinnipiacQuinnipiac were distributed on April 4. The poll asked respondents from Ohio for whom they would likely vote if the Democrats nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republicans nominated Donald Trump.
Of those who answered the question, 42.0% revealed that they intend to vote for the Democrats, whereas 44.0% declared that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was conducted from February 16 to February 20 among 1539 registered voters. Results have a +/-2.5 percentage points error margin.
Other survey prognoses
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 48.8% for the Democrats and 51.2% for the Republicans. The Democrats did better by 3.4 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Ohio.
