QuinnipiacQuinnipiac poll in Ohio: Democrats are behind
On April 5, QuinnipiacQuinnipiac released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Ohio were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
According to the results, 42.0% of participants intend to vote for the Democrat Hillary Clinton, while 44.0% intend to vote for the Republican Donald Trump. The poll was in the field between February 16 and February 20. The sample size was 1539 registered voters. The error margin is +/-2.5 points.
According to other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 48.8% for the Democrat Clinton and 51.2% for the Republican Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Ohio the Democrats did better in this poll.
