PPP (D)PPP (D) poll in Virginia: Republicans are behind
Results of a new poll conducted by PPP (D)PPP (D) were distributed on April 2. The poll asked participants from Virginia for whom they would likely vote if the Democratic Party nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republican Party nominated Donald Trump.
Of those who responded, 49.0% said that they intend to vote for the Democrats, while 39.0% said that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was in the field between July 13 and July 15. The sample size was 1170 registered voters. Estimated have a +/-2.9 percentage points margin of error.
According to other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 55.7% for the Democrat Hillary Clinton and 44.3% for the Republican Donald Trump. The Democrats did better by 0.8 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Virginia.
