PPP (D)PPP (D) poll in Ohio: Democrats are ahead
PPP (D)PPP (D) published the results of a new poll on April 5. In this poll, respondents from Ohio were asked for whom they would likely vote if Hillary Clinton were the Democratic Party's candidate and Donald Trump were the Republican Party's candidate.
Of those who answered the question, 45.0% said that they will vote for the Democrats, whereas 40.0% said that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was conducted from March 3 to March 4 among 1248 registered voters. The error margin is +/-2.8 points.
In comparison with other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 52.9% for the Democrats and 47.1% for the Republicans. The Democrats did worse by 0.7 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Ohio.
