Ohio: New PPP (D)PPP (D) poll shows Democrats ahead
PPP (D)PPP (D) published the results of a new poll on April 4. In this poll, respondents from Ohio were asked for whom they would likely vote if Hillary Clinton were the Democratic Party's candidate and Donald Trump were the Republican Party's candidate.
According to the results, 45.0% of interviewees are going to vote for the Democratic Party, while 40.0% are going to vote for the Republican Party. The poll was carried out from March 3 to March 4 with 1248 registered voters. Results have a +/-2.8 percentage points sampling error.
According to other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 52.9% for the Democrat Hillary Clinton and 47.1% for the Republican Donald Trump. The vote share for the Democrats is 0.7 percentage points under the average results of other polls in Ohio.
