New York: Very clear advantage for Democrats in recent EmersonEmerson poll
EmersonEmerson published the results of a new poll on April 1. In this poll, respondents from New York were asked for whom they would likely vote if Hillary Clinton were the Democratic Party's candidate and Donald Trump were the Republican Party's candidate.
According to the results, 55.0% of interviewees plan to vote for the Democratic Party, while 36.0% plan to vote for the GOP. The poll was carried out from March 14 to March 16 with 768 likely voters. The sampling error is +/-3.5 percentage points.
According to other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 60.4% for the Democrat Clinton and 39.6% for Trump. The Democrats did better by 1.2 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in New York.
