EmersonEmerson published the results of a new poll on April 4. In this poll, respondents from New York were asked for whom they would likely vote if Hillary Clinton were the Democratic Party's candidate and Donald Trump were the Republican Party's candidate.
Of those who responded, 55.0% revealed that they plan to vote for the Democrats, while 36.0% said that they would give their vote to the Republicans. This poll was conducted from March 14 to March 16, among a random sample of 768 likely voters. The error margin is +/-3.5 percentage points.
According to other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 60.4% for the Democrat Hillary Clinton and 39.6% for the Republican Donald Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in New York the Democrats did better in this poll.
